WordPress provides a great option to use images as featured images. This makes it very easy to handle these images and use them as thumbnails for several locations in your WordPress theme. Most WordPress themes on the market use that feature, but if you were using a WordPress theme that hasn’t supported featured images or you just did not use featured images yet, you might have an issue when you switch to a WordPress theme that does.
